Antiques Road Show: Author, Auctioneer, Appraiser, and Radio show Host Mike Ivankovich will introduce you to “What Determines Value”….and reveal what your Antiques, Collectibles, and Personal Treasures are really worth today.

This program is sponsored by the Fort Edward Free Library and is being offered online through a ZOOM MEETING Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

There will be three parts to this program. Mike will begin with a 20 minute discussion on “10 Factors That Will Always Impact the Value of Your Treasures”. He will then begin evaluating and appraising each attendee’s treasures, one-by-one.

The Zoom Program will be on a first come first serve basis for up to 25-30 individuals. Remember, this is an ONLINE PROGRAM and it is IMPORTANT to have your camera set up in the proper position so Mike can view the item. If he cannot see it, then he won’t be able to appraise it. Mike will possibly ask a few questions about the item such as markings, condition, etc.

Also, it is a good idea to have 1 BACK UP ITEM to appraise if the need arises. Virtual Backgrounds can distort how an item looks and we ask that all VIRTUAL BACKGROUNDS be turned off when showing your items.

Mike’s Bio: He has been involved in some phase of the Antiques and Collectibles business for more than 40 years. He is a frequent lecturer and has spoken before groups too numerous out list. He has authored more than 20 books and eBooks in his area of specialty and has written articles and columns for most major national trade papers. As a Pennsylvania Auctioneer, he has been name Pennsylvania’s “Auctioneer of the Year” by fellow Auctioneers.

Stepping Back to Stage 11 Guidelines

With Covid-19 Positive numbers going up in Ft. Edward,  it was decided by the Library Board of Trustees and Director to revert back to our re-opening plans of Stage 11 Curbside library services beginning Tuesday January 19, 2021 with open hours not changing.   Patrons can request materials by phone, e-mail, and ILL.  Patrons are asked to contact the library to set up a convenient pick-up time during library hours.   If a patron arrives early or later than the arranged pick-up time, there may be a few minutes wait time due to staff assisting other curbside pickups.    Library staff will continue offering the service of copying and faxing for patrons.  To ease any patrons concerns regarding privacy with copies and a fax, the copier/fax machine will be located in view for patrons to observe staff handling this information.
