June 24 @ 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm

This years reading theme for the entire U.S. is “Adventure beguins at your library.” Our first adventure will be with DEC officer Ashley Carabetta and another DEC officer. They’re presenting this program to teach both kids and adults how to know where they are going without a cellphone or a map using a compass. They will ask participants to locate items around the grounds of the library as a possible destination. They will also talk to the kids about hiking, camping, fishing, saftey, and survival techniques.

The first 26 participants will recieve a pocket style copper clam shell compass, glow in the dark military compass survival gear that is waterproof for hiking, camping, and climbing. Age recommendation are ages 6 and up. Adults supervision for those 8 years and younger.

Please contact the library at 5187476743 for more information. This program is available to those of all abilities.
