Tuesday January 7th Outreach at the Oaks Senior Living Center 12:45 pm – 2:15 pm

For the third consecutive year, the Fort Edward Free Library has been delivering library materials-including large print books, DVD, and audiobooks – to the Oaks facility in Fort Edward NY.  Patrons at the Oaks can borrow these materials for up to one month, unless otherwise specified.  For Brand-new items, the borrowing period is limited to seven days.

The library also facilitates request for specific material or title that may not be available during our visit.  Vicki Plude from the library enjoys conversing with the patrons of the Oaks when there once a month on a Tuesday afternoon and she also delivers materials that have been requested and also picks up materials when patrons are finished with them.  This service has proven to be highly satisfying  for both the patrons and the library, allowing us to provide large print material, audiobooks, and DVD’s to those in need.
