SUMMARY:How would you color your world if you had limited vision or are blind? Tuesday 8/5/25 6:00pm-7:30pm
DESCRIPTION:Explore the sense of sight with special guest Joanne Kennedy\, a specialist from Boces who teaches blind and visually impaired children. Joanne will have children and adults interact in activities such as learning Braille coloring\, navigating with a cane\, and wearing goggles that impair your regular vision. The skills learned during this program will definitely give you more understanding of those with this disability. \n \nAssembly Woman Carrie Woerner will end the program in a read aloud book titled “The Sky That Sings” by Anita Sanchez and George Steele. \n \nThis program is open to all ages and abilities. Registration is required. The first 35 that register two weeks in advance will be given a special remembrance of this program to take home with them. Call 518-747-6743 to register.

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the end of summer reading with us! Join us at the library for a color our community walk. We will be walking through our community and decorating the sidewalks with positive affirmations and pictures. All ages and abilities are welcome. \n \nAfter our walk\, those who participated in summer reading will come back to the library for ice cream & prize raffle drawings; such as two kids bikes\, a Fun Spot all day pass\, 3 man tent\, a pickle ball set\, beach blanket and bowling passes\, cash prizes of $10\, $15\, $20\, and 4 $10 McDonalds gift cards. Also there will be a participation prize. \n
