SUMMARY:Monday July 22 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm Washington County Draft Horses and Wagon Rides along with Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner at the Fort Edward Free Library
DESCRIPTION:On Monday July 22\, 2024 from 4:00 pm – 7:30 pm the Washington County Draft Horse Association will be at the library with these larger than life horses along with having an opportunity to ride on the back of a wagon while listening to a few stories about horses and area rescue sites for horses.   Due to this being an adventure for the children\, we are limiting adults to that of one per family to ride along on the wagon. \nThe library is also very excited to have Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner ride along with you on a wagon\, read a story\, and tell you about her exciting work that she does!  She will be at this event from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm.  Please call ahead to register your child or children at 518-747-6743 for this program. \nA group photo will be taken after each wagon ride and everyone in the photos will receive one 4×6 photo of their own to keep.  Photos will be available for pickup in about one week following the program. \nRain date will be for Tuesday July 23\, 2024 at the same time.

SUMMARY:Monday July 29th @ 6:00 pm  SmoresReading and Dancing and possibly Smokey the Bear
DESCRIPTION:We will be listening to a few fun adventurous stories about Smokey the Bear and hoping Smokey will be here to tell us all about them.  If for some reason Smokey cannot attend\, kids will listen to other fun stories being read while making their own Smores over an enclosed fire-pit.  Limiting 2 smores per child.   Any remaining time thereafter\, we will let the kids dance to some music.  A cardboard cutout of Smokey the Bear is here for the kids to have their pics with as the Encon Officer that comes in costume as Smokey wasn’t able to make it. \nRain date will be on Tuesday July 30th @ 6:00 pm Crossed Sticks and Marshmallows
