Irving Tissue Community Fund Grant Recipient

The Library Board of Trustees and Director, wish to thank the Irving Tissue Community Fund Grant Committee and Wayne McDonald, Irving Tissues Vice President of Corporate Relations, for recognizing our library with a five-thousand dollar grant donation in uniting literacy and technology as a 21st century library.

This Fort Edward Free Library Technology Initiative Grant is enabling the library to purchase a Smart Board, Doc Camera and Lap Top computer.  This equipment is a combination video, audio, imagery and text that effectively engages visual and auditory learners.   It will allow the library to actively engage children’s participation in the Summer Reading Program through tactile, student-based and student -led activities.  It will enhance engagement and visual representation for all group participants and allow recording, live steaming or presentations and  meetings.

Equipment for the above is being purchased through Protech, Tequipment Inc,. and Southern Adirondack Library System.
