Ancestry.com Database

Ancestry.Com Database subscription for one year  is now available to the general public.  This database is available during library hours in forty-five minute – one hour increments.  It is also on a first come first serve basis with the exclusion of those who have registered in advance with our genealogy consultant.   Access to this database can only be done so on the library patron computer(s).  You cannot access it on any other type of personal technology.

The First fifty patrons residing in Washington County and the surrounding area will be given one USB drive to store their material on.  Ancestry.com offers needed forms that are very useful in documenting your lineage and the library will provide up to six papers or forms one time only to each  individual.

In accessing this database, each patron agrees to complete a small questionnaire and allow the library to keep these statistics in which this grant was given by the Home for Aged Women.  All statistics will be kept until this grant is finalized in December 2014.  The questionnaire consists of:  Your full name, County and State in which you reside, 18 years of age, date of all materials given( such as USB drive, forms and copies) dates of research and comments.
